The Cryomold molds produce uniformly shaped, flat-surface specimen block when used with O.C.T. (optimum cutting temperature) compound, which is sold separately, for frozen sectioning. This can fit into Cryobar freezing wells of the Tissue Tek II microtome/cryostat with the use of an adapter. This product measures 25 mm x 20 mm x 5 mm. It is sold in a pack of 100.
Newcomer Supply Embedding Tissue Tampers, 10mm x 10mm
Newcomer Supply’s Tissue Embedding Tampers are unique tools for flattening tissue sections in an embedding mold with ease! The design allows for the end-user to either use a forceps or their fingers to easily control the tampers. The aluminum, one piece handle extends 24mm above the tamper base and comes with a vinyl cap to help remain cool to the touch. There is also an anodized colored surface on the tamper that makes it more durable and corrosion-resistant. The tampers comes in two different sizes to accommodate small, medium and large embedding molds: 10mm x 10mm base (orange) and 16mm x19mm base (green). A combo pack is also available including 1 of each size.
